Thought I'd send some before during and after pics of my XR500 restoration that I bought from yourselves in 2005, finding nos parts was very hard but rewarding in the end as the finished bike is beautiful and very rare in this country.

I wanted one of these back in the eighties but as Honda never imported them here you have made my dream come true I hope you like it.

I’ve been so happy with you’re service that I felt I should write to you and tell anybody that is considering importing a car
to read on....

...........I was given the telephone number for California Connections by a friend of mine who had also used their services and
was most impressed. So I called their offices in Derbyshire and spoke to a lady called Miranda. I told her that I needed a car
that I’d just bought on Ebay shipping from Kansas City to the UK. She was very friendly and bubbly and assured me that she
would sort it for me – and sort it she did. Between Miranda and her brother steven, based in California, they helped me every
step of the way and explained how it would all work. I’ve never imported a car before and was totally clueless as to the
procedure. Miranda and Steven make an excellent team and together imported my car without a single hitch.
They were 100% true to their word, very professional and very reasonably priced. On the day of collection I met Miranda
at her office in Derbyshire, she was really nice and very friendly. She even made me two cups of tea!!

I would absolutely no hesitation in using California Connections again and recommending their services to anyone
wishing to import a car!

I would highly recommend this family business as their service is first class; they go out of their

After Restoration:

Hi Miranda,

This is just a quick note to say how pleased I am with the help and co-operation you and Steve
provided in sourcing a bike for the upcoming Farleigh Castle event.

Buying a bike from so far away and just having the photo's to view was always risky but Steve
thought it was a good bike and it has proved to be. I have stripped it for inspection and all is good.
All it really needs is a new pair of tyres.

I found a mouse nest in the airbox

I will definately be contacting you again for my next project.

I bought this 1972 wreck from you in October 2010. Look at it now!! It has been 39 years since I rode a bike like this
and it has been an absolute pleasure restoring it. It is, however, a little under-powered compared to my CBX!!

I used California Connection to ship over a VW splitscreen bus I had sourced
via the internet, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Never having bought a vehicle from abroad
before I was unsure of the process and logisitics. I was guided through the whole
process by Miranda and Steve, who were forever at the end of an email or the
telephone with support and information throughout the whole procedure.
My bus arrived in good time and was waiting for me at their premises in Ashbourne.
The quality of the service offered was fantastic and I cannot praise the overall
package enough, indeed I am now looking for my next purchase. Many thanks to
the whole team on both sides of the Ocean!

Hi Miranda. As promised, photo of the T120 TT which i have now finished,
There was no hassle with registering at DVLA with the paperwork you supplied.
I would like to restore another TT if you could possibly find one. Let me

Said I would drop you a line when I got the car presentable.

Well done for finding such a good car in the first place, for a 43 year old it was in great nick to start with.
A couple of days work got it through its MOT (Brakes) and the paperwork (as you promised) was straight forward.
It took 4 months to get it from green to Blue and white and looking as it does now…a lot of work but knowing the
car was basically very good spurred me on…

Thanks again, I have recommended you a couple of times, and if anyone asks you’ll get positive feedback from me..
